The Ways We Create Community

Highland Lake Cove is a retreat center, event venue, and garden café nestled on a private lake in Flat Rock, North Carolina, minutes from Asheville in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

We are intentionally cultivating a teaching and learning center for those eager to leave the world a better place, built around food, community, and conscious social engagement.

Alongside our retreat programs and event spaces, we host Treska's Café, a garden-to-table dining experience, and a growing calendar of community gatherings, markets, and celebrations. We don't have everything figured out, but we've got experience, ideas, and one another, and that is a good recipe for the path forward.

Many of us experienced feelings of isolation and burn out over the past few years. We are building community to address the potential that we are all meant to experience belonging, success and purpose in community.

We are actively seeking and implementing solutions for a different kind of future - one we step into collaboratively.
