Culinary Collaborator

Guiding Chefs, Mentors and Creators

About the Opportunity

Highland Lake Cove is launching a collaborative, creative, and heart-centered set of culinary

projects—and we’re looking for one or more passionate cooks, chefs, or food educators to help

lead the way.

Rather than a single executive chef for our event based offerings, we’re building a small team of

guiding chefs—each bringing their own flavor, cultural influence, and passion. This group will

serve as mentors, creative leads, and facilitators across a collection of food-centered programs,

(with options to join our café team as well.).

This is ideal for individuals ready to step off the high-pressure line and into a more purpose-

driven, collaborative role. Flexible hours, part-time or project-based work available. Room to

grow.

Programs You Might Help Guide

  • Our CSK (Community Supported Kitchen): Seasonal take-home meals made with love and local produce

  • Our Culinary Incubator: Providing mentorship for aspiring food entrepreneurs and cottage industry cooks

  • A Collaborative Food Court and Culinary Tailgate Market: Building on the success of our Tuesday Farmers Market, adding a second market as a fun dining experience

  • “So You Think You Can Cook?” Series: A live, joyful competition meets community feast

  • Seasonal Workshops and Demos: Teach your passion—bread baking, fermenting, tamales, you name it

  • Adding to the lineup of Pops Ups we host

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome both individual applicants and small teams or collaborators. You might be:

• A retired or reimagining chef who still loves to teach and experiment

• A cooking teacher or kitchen mentor looking for a new home base

• A passionate home cook or pop-up artist ready to share your skills

• A food lover looking to collaborate rather than compete

• Someone who sees food as a tool for healing, joy, and connection

You don't need a resume full of stars—you need a spark, a love of food, and a heart for teaching

and sharing.

Details and Perks:

• Location: Treska’s on Highland Lake, Flat Rock, NC

• Hours: Part-time, flexible, or gig-based depending on interest and availability

• Pay: DOE

• Bonus: Partnership and/or long-term leadership opportunities for those interested in

growing with us

How to Apply

We’re accepting individual applicants, duos, or small creative teams. If you feel called to

contribute—even in a small way—reach out.

To apply, send a short intro about yourself and what lights you up in the kitchen to the link below.
