Art For Everyone All Year Round
Art Workshops
Why book art parties, art workshops, and art retreats at Treska's on Highland Lake Cove?
Creating art playfully and without judgment lets us forget about being perfect. It opens room for self-reflection, connecting with others, and simply enjoying the process. Furthermore, making art together in a judgment-free space challenges ideas of what art “should be,” sparking conversations that build understanding and kindness. This open approach celebrates different viewpoints, since everyone’s background, experiences, and culture shape their art uniquely.
Treska, the cafe's namesake and inspiration, was an incredible artist, author, gardener, and the matriarch of the Lindsay Family, the stewards of Highland Lake Cove. We look forward to carrying Treska's creative legacy on by offering artful events of all kinds with a focus on community and connection.

Who is Miranda?
Miranda is the Events & Operations Support Specialist at Treska's on Highland Lake. She is excited about designing, hosting and facilitating a myriad of art experiences both casual and formal from workshops, to art parties to retreats at Treska's. She is also looking forward to inviting guest artists to share a multitude of teachings.
Miranda believes that art is for everyone. Making art together in a space without judgment challenges pre-conceived notions and inspires dialogue, cultivating understanding and compassion. Through her artistic endeavors, she has come to understand that our ties with one another and with nature are essential. In a world where capitalism often encourages us to see ourselves as isolated individuals, Miranda believes in breaking down those barriers. Art-making and appreciation belong to everyone, transcending titles and credentials, and engaging with art alongside each other is a way for us to reconnect and realize that we are all a part of the same.
