Seasonal School of Culinary Arts Presents - The Sound of Cooking

A week-long hands-on immersion in a variety of culinary experiences designed to awaken and broaden the palate, lead you closer to the source of the food you prepare, and provide you with a panoply of skills that will help you celebrate the ordinary in extraordinary fashion. Guests begin each day with an intensive hands-on session, continue with a multi-course luncheon, and culminate with tasting sessions and entertainment. For this autumn experience, we will focus on slowly simmered dishes, flanked by appetizers and desserts, explore the area, taste wines, watch food-themed movies in the evening (think The Taste of Things, The Truffle Hunters, Chocolat…), and play food games (Wine Wars, Foodie Fight, Wineopoly) in between. We’ll also sit around a campfire one evening, singing songs that nourish our souls as food does our bodies.
